Today, I launched the my listening tour in Roodepan in Kimberley. It is the first step in a provincial tour which will bring me in contact with as many residents of the Northern Cape as possible.

Along with activists and public representatives of the DA, I will be going door-to-door, street-by-street, and community-by-community to hear from residents what kind of change they expect from a DA-led government come 2019.
Politicians are often accused of being away from the communities who elected them to serve. The Listening Tour is my way of getting in touch with the people so we can serve them even better.
During today’s tour, I spoke with residents who still are optimistic about South Africa, but who are concerned about its development under the failing ANC, which has forgotten about the people and has been given too may second chances.
There are still women who don’t have access to basic sanitation, graduates who are unemployed and parents who are worried about their children’s safety, and their futures.
It is clear that only change under a DA-led administration can make a difference.
I will continue engaging with the people of the Northern Cape so we can build a prosperous province and One South Africa for All.
