The Democratic Alliance (DA) is calling on SAPS to take urgent steps to strengthen child safety policing in our communities.
This comes after a three-year-old boy was allegedly grabbed while he was playing with his friends outside his home, by an unknown man who dropped him when the boy’s mother ran after them after being alerted by one of his heroic friends.
We cannot allow this evil in our communities. We need to be more vigilant and aware of our surroundings as the kidnapping of vulnerable people are increasing.
We are calling on SAPS to urgently find the culprit and investigate his reasoning behind grabbing an innocent boy. Our community needs to stand together and combat this crime before it grows.
Only under a DA-led government will the safety of all be prioritised by an honest and professional police service.
