DA urges parents to apply at schools soon

The Democratic Alliance in the Northern Cape urges parents to apply for places at schools for the 2018 academic year now.

Parents who wait until the last moment might lose out on a spot for their child at their preferred school and might have to send their child to a different school.

We need to avoid a repeat of the situation we had at the start of the 2017 academic year, where hundreds of learners were still waiting for placements as their classmates began with school. In the Frances Baard district alone, almost 300 learners were not placed as the academic year kicked off.

We need to have every child in school from the first day of the year.
