Andrew Louw is the Provincial Leader of the Democratic Alliance in the Northern Cape. He was sworn in as an MPL in August 2009. He was first elected as an MP on the National Assembly in May 2009, in the portfolio of Shadow Minister for Labour.
Andrew serves on the portfolio committees for: Cooperative Government, Resettlement and Traditional Affairs; Finance, Economic Development & Tourism, as well as Provincial Treasury.
Andrew was previously employed as a Transnet Marketing Manager, serving the company for 17-years. He was also elected as a DA councillor at Sol Plaatje Municipality, a position which he filled for three years.
Andrew completed his matric in Kimberley at Homevale Senior Secondary School. He has a number of qualifications under his belt, including a Marketing Management Diploma (Rand Afrikaans University), an Operations Management Diploma (Pretoria University), a Diversity Management Diploma (Wits University), a Business Management Diploma (Rand Afrikaans University) and a Labour Relations qualification (Unisa).
Andrew has been married to Mariam for the past 14 years and they have three children.
